I like the green and black combo. Drying rack is a nice touch too.

Check out the gloves driers in these two pictures. It is really wild with the moose antlers though. And don't forget you can customize the andirons too. When Tom put the moose antlers on, the andirons also were moose. Gives it a nice touch. This is one of the good things that ad a touch of class to the stove; the fact that you can customize it to your liking if you choose to do so.

Also check out the light fastened to the flue in the second picture. The stove runs the light.

    Looks like an outfeed roller.:)
    All those add-ons give it a....whimsical feel/look.
Notice the stove collar? It's different on the later Betas.

I noticed in one of the comments section they may make the stove adjustable to one inch lower, that would solve all my problems, hope they can pull it off, they're not certain yet.

I'm curious what the depth of the interior is? How often does everyone have to clean out the ashes?

I'm not heating continuous but in the three weeks of most night/weekend usage I have taken out ashes twice, the first time I probably didnt really need to, today it was needed for sure. Seems like a solid week of burning without pulling ashes isnt unreasonable.

The floor of the firebox is 3 or 4 inches below the lip of the opening to load the stove. I find myself emptying ash very little, about 4 or 5 times total since it was installed in late November. It just seems to keep packing down. If I let the coals burn down on max air for an hour or two, the ash just settles down into a 3" bed day after day. I can't exactly explain it but it just doesn't seem to create a lot of ash.

After 6 days of continuous fire I notice they are not building up anymore. I also open it at the end of the cycle to burn some down when I can (as I did with my last stove). I've been waiting to have to empty some but haven't had to. This is nice because the living room stays much cleaner. I think when it is colder and the cycles become shorter I may have to take some out every 4-5 days but that's just a guess.

Definitely looks like a deep lip, which is very nice in dealing with ashes.

There is plenty of space for ash, if I end up buying the stove I am getting an ash pan for sure. Having had one on my VC this whole getting the shovel and bucket out thing has me very annoyed.

I took mine out two weeks ago for the first time since it was installed. There was a minor amount of dust on the bottom of it but otherwise nothing to report. The air follows a serpentine path at the top of the firebox into the sled that holds the combuster so I think a lot of the fly ash settles out before it gets to the cat.

The woodstock folks looked at mine when they were down last week, 3 weeks of burning and I saw nothing at all, you could still see clear through the honeycoomb matrix.
