UH_OH! Thats me dave My biggest problem is that i help out with three other burners around here and i never get more than 2 years ahead myself but with what i have down over on the farm this coming year i should be way ahead by June Great information on the board Dennis and Gang Still gotta thank Raybonz for putting up with me 'ALL' of last year trying to teach me how to run my T5 the proper way Terry
Dexter, that sciatica is nothing to trifle with. Can be very painful and I hope you get through this.
There is days it seems o.k.... But most days it hurts pretty bad. Right now is one of those bad times. The ks for the words Dennis. It sucks to go from so much wood, to not so much. But live and learn. I will have to get at least 4 yrs ahead so I can plan for another bad year. My main problem is giving wood away. I give a lot to my Uncle. . . Then some to friends here and there. I need to HOARD IT!!!
I did the same thing this year with my seasoned stuff. Got plenty of wood split and stacked but I'm gonna have to tap into stuff I hadn't planned on burning this year. Definitely went through more than I expected this year.
It's definitely good to stay ahead. I know what sciatica is about and it isn't fun. I'm burning the last of the wood that I processed before getting a herniated disk 3 years ago. (Racking servers at work). Fortunately I had 3+ years worth. Took two+ years off from the wood processing. But I got caught back up last year and have somewhere between 3-4 years worth stacked up now. Next year I will start out burning wood 20 months from the stump. Some of that was standing dead ash along with cherry and black birch so I will be fine before running into the oak.
Next year I may be forced to not help someone else out as our stock is getting a bit low now. Probably don't have more than 4 years worth on hand now.
