Ran both saws today in 20" red oak and they were very close, the 562 had 2 cuts that were a little faster but other then that they were about equal. The 562 is also well broken in.

Saw like that cause a lot of firewood. Which means lots to pick up.

No heated handles in that 6100 and I'm getting old and cold.

Ya I call bs why dolmar/ makita wouldn't bring the H version or at least the parts to the US. Yes I have heard the stuff on the safety crap and it would be to expensive. Yadda yadda

Can't believe this saw is still available! 20" oak it shines. Good job Ted and Eric.

Ted, just finished up your grind on pro-sharp. Further back than I'd want but may satisfy internet wonders. Watcha say, Flappers on Thursday for wings and brews?

I took my stock 6100 out today and worked it. This is one of the trees I dropped today a 24"+ oak bucked and even noodled . This really is a great saw. If I had the money I would buy a second and even third in a Hart beat just to keep for if I could ever wear this one out.

If I could afford it I would in a hurry. It will make someone a great saw. I know locally a new 6100 is $620 so this is a steel!

I see you're taking full advantage of the non-clogging clutch cover design too. That's a lot of noodles!

And yes, a stock 6100 is more than capable with a 24" mounted to it.

Yep and those noodles are close to the garden so I will till them in next week. Noodles do great things foe gardens. When I bought the 6100 one of theach qualifications it had to pull double duty and be my wood splitter as well. But man I love felling with this thing. This is that same oak. Zips right through. I really need to come up with an extra $600
