Whatever will become of these guys I dare not ask, in the end it didn't even look like they were gonna make it up the hill.
That was funny. I see them at the local antique market buying up all sorts of stuff. One guy was carrying a heavy chain on his shoulder like he just made. Another had a 4 foot fiberglass swordfish over his shoulder. Plaid shirts, manicured beards, engineer boots and rolled up pant cuffs. I don't get it.
Baby boomer? I think not....maybe wishful thinking....glad you recognize excellence though when you see it...
Talk to any current or retired timber cutter, look at pics of same. You wont see their pant legs rolled up like these wannabe's,if they're a bit long they cut them off a couple-three inches above where their heel is to keep them from dragging the ground, absorbing moisture from wet grass,rain/snowfall.Thus adding weight, slowing them down & making stomping/climbing through the forest even more difficult.Plus rolled up cuffs is a real pain in the arse, trapping wood chips, other debris & can be a trip hazard. I started doing that years ago myself, being somewhat short legged & not being able to find best fitting length of jeans for work. Most what I find is 32-33 length, when 30 is best even with thick sole tall work/logging boots.
It's a "look" ....they have no intentions of doing anything that may go hand in hand with the "look"....dress up...like when I put my French maid costume on...I have no intentions of cleaning...
That made me LOL...My neighbors are going to think I am bonkers because I often LOL when I am on this forum...
Agree totally-dont even understand the intent and I love humorous vids...I dont even want to know the meaning behind the meaning of this...though I have my suspicions....I'd have rather watched paint dry
