    I used my leaf blower to get the chips off the lawn. The growing pile of chips will end up in my compost bin.

    Yeah, I have burned horse chestnut. It's lower on the BTU scale than most anything, but it burns fine. 14 mbtu's a cord iirc. It just burns kinda quickly.

    I have some but its kind of a toss up. They say it spits but ive pushed in a partially seasoned log (it was cut around this time last year.) in the fire couple nights ago but it didn't do much as far as sparks go but maybe Im missing the point of what it means when it "spits". It was ok to burn not the best but the weird smell it gives off when burning takes some getting used to.

    I've got a heavier maul than the x27. I"ll give that a try and see if I can encourage them rounds to cooperate.

    If it needs to be explained I staged that pic with the small kindling maul. ~grin~

    Wish I was a little closer Mike we could have that split in no time at all. You guys are going to say I'm nuts but I like splitting (with hydro) and stacking the best. Oh who I am I kidding love it all.
