    I worked at the city pools from age 11 to 19 in the summers. I remember sitting in the "kiddie pool" when young and answering another it was because this pool was always warmer. It took me a couple years to realize why the older staff members laughed so hard, I thought it was because of solar gain, dark blue concrete and only a foot deep. Live and learn guess I should not have lied about my age on the work permit.

    Just got back from a meeting that a client would not cancel. Took me 2 hours to get home as compared to a normal drive of 50 minutes.

    Pure white out at times. A number of semis and cars in the ditch.

    Sitting by the fire relaxing now. :) Good to be home!

    Day off here too.
    Missed two days due to sickness and today was pre-arranged.
    Sounds like I'll have Mon off too. Dang!

    Driving almost 1/2 way across the U.P. again today for a visit. Two areas along our route are supposed to get 7-12". Just enough to make it interesting. Maybe I'll take my car with 240K on it instead of hers which is still low mileage..around 10K I think?

    Getting antsy waiting for her to wake up and get moving....

    My own beliefs are that the gloom and doom that is predicted will not be as bad as it sounds. You know, normal forecasting...sensationalism??

    Yes. But even 3+ inches of snow can be dangerous. Not as much for you to drive through but because of how so many others drive.:picard:

    Woke up to a snow layer this morning. It should melt away fairly quickly. campinspecter is supervising a roofer putting a cap sheet on Mom's roof. Yesterday they had ice on the roof, today maybe snow. Should be interesting.

    Yesterday we were talking about Canada geese. Well, when I got to work, I found out that one of the geese that are always on the public lawn across from the school flew into the power lines and smoked one of the phases to the school. Interesting morning with only half power. No internet, no main server and NO emails! Also no heat in the office for the remainder of the day. I hope that gets fixed quickly. PRO-D day today so lots and lots of teachers in the building for workshops, etc. My co-worker and I are going to lock the office door and hopefully get things done today without interruptions.
