H&R home edition - I used TT for several years until they got too proud of the software, don't need the visual bs and paying for their advertising...seems H&R home has upped their price as well.
The rip-off they do to people filing simple fed/state returns is crazy, but because folks overpay in all year they think the cost of preparation is OK...
I owe extra at the end of the year - no reason to give the gov't my money interest free all year;)
and I have time to figure out how much I donated to the church of basod come tax time:D

What's H&R run ya? And can you claim brokerage gains/ losses for the price? My returns aren't simple as I do need to itemize, but they are also far from complicated.

I agree, TT needs a "super user" format - less GUI and more spreadsheet. I tried Tax Act and reverted last year as it wasn't as good and made some deductions very hard to figure out.

I always wait until it goes on sale at the office supply stores. Can usually get it for about $25. Never get it off their website as even their best break in price for me was at $29 in November. Course I just use the Deluxe and don't have any deductions so I don't know what the upper tier programs cost. And, if you can itemize, yes, you can take the price of the software off (under tax preparation cost).

Frosty again this morning. Walk was great and I wanted to go farther but common sense reigned and I didn't. Two more days and then the weekend. Canadian women championship curling is on now so campinspecter has to fit the games in between housework. I only get to see the evening games.

After working outside all day, I was going to blow off my last treadmill workout until we lost the cable/internet/phones. I did get twenty minutes in on the treadmill this morning and another twenty tonight so we'll see what the scale says tomorrow.

The cinnamon rolls are ready for tomorrow morning with coffee and a pork roast dinner will be planned for this week or weekend.

Yes for profits/losses you need the deluxe TurboTax. That's what I have to do. Yes TT is very GUI, but it works simply, and isn't any more than any other brand.

Went in to work today and boy was that ever a mistake. Butt was dragging before 9:00 and just got worse all day long. Try some overnight medicine tonight and go back at it tomorrow. Glutton for punishment.

So the different weather .coms have us from up to 4" to up to 12" and all the way to 18". Interesting, we shall see, besides, here its not the amount of snow but where it drifts. We are stocked up with necessities is we do get drifted in, and generator on the porch so its not too cold to start if needed.

The good ole scale said 204.5 this morning for a weight loss of 27 pounds. The cinnamon roll tasted good with coffee.

That's my gang. This year the kids Birthday present is to go away for a couple nights and we decided to go snow tubing. Had a blast! After we got back to the Hotel we cleaned up a bit and went out to dinner. Good food here in Malone. And the beer is cold.

Frosty and clear again this morning. Walk was great this morning as well. yesterday was the first day since Christmas that all the teachers made it to work. Some were still fighting a cold but they were there. When the students are ill, they are gone for 4 - 5 days. Not a usual occurrence. Even though they are sick, they still want to come to school. Don't you remember being like that - NOT! yesterday was anti-bullying day so everyone was wearing PINK. Not my favorite colour but I wore it. At the rally, the musicians played 60s rally songs. Seeing as the musicians were teens in the 60s, I guess it wasn't a surprise. The surprising part is how many kids knew the songs.

Wife and kids went for a quick shopping trip through some strip malls. I've been walking inside and out and up and down the staircases at the hotel here. Trying to burn off last nights dinner! A relaxing trip and just a short ways from home. Little over an hour. We are going to go walking on some trails this afternoon. It's like 63 degrees out!
