23 degrees, just got in from plowing with the rhino, I saw a car stuck in the driveway up the road so I grabbed a tow strap, I pulled him out with the rhino. He was heading to work but got hung up at the end of the driveway, after I pulled him out I plowed the driveway for him. I'm not sure what the wife is burning but a good bet would be Beech & Sugar Maple.
Good work woodlands. I helped push my neighbors car out today. They were able to get into the drive, just far enough to bury it. LOL. I young guys and I pushed her out and then I cleaned a short section of the driveway for her with the Bobcat. That took care of them until the brother got there to plow. They are good neighbors.
He was getting ready to call AAA, that's when I said you won't need them. What I worried about was sleds coming down the road at a high rate of speed, I had the tow strap stretched across the road.
It was on Cold Brook Drive which is not real wide, it's a designated town road for sledding, they fly down the road so that's why I use the rhino for plowing down near the road, I can see them better compared to plowing with the Ford Super Duty 250.
No, I have another hour of plowing left if I use the rhino, I might hook up the plow to the 250 so I can cut back the banks better or just say to hell with it an jump on the sled.
Lol....Last time I got my car stuck I was so mad I kicked out the tail light...That was many moons ago.
16° and very calm here. Going to be time to bring some more wood in later today. Straight Ash going through the Gun this morning.
27º here this morning and some big flakes coming down but not expected to have much for accumulation. Walnut and elm in the 91.
29° here and waiting for the 2-4" of that white chit to begin again. This morning our dog got out by almost walking over our 4' fence, the snow was so high.
26 here. Swept the floor in the wood room (bark, sawdust, dirt). Shoveled it into a walmart bag and toped it with coal. Jammed it in the furnace and topped off with sumbeech . I like a heavier coal mix at these temps. Get really loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooonnnng burns.
Gasifier, remember I told you NOAA had said we got nine inches of snow yesterday, they had got the reading from our Post Office to put up on their site. I was at the Post Office today so I went inside so I could ask the girl who works there what they measure the snowfall with, I told her it was on the NOAA site that we received nine inches of snow, she said I can't believe that, then starting laughing. She said on Friday she got a call from NOAA asking how much snow we received so she ask one guy, he said 10-12, she said have you been drinking (the guy from NOAA on the phone starts to laugh) she tells the guy from NOAA we received 6-7 inches of snow, he said ok we'll put you down for nine!
Accuracy in gov't reporting. And they want us to trust them with out health care. I'd better shut my mouth.
