I want to drop this ash, it has a down hill lean, it's 3' inside my property line. But if I drop it the easy way, with the natural lean, it for sure is going to clip the ash on the otherside or the line. It's dead too and in the woods out of sight, so the neighbor doesn't care if it looses a few limbs. My question is will it fall or will it hang? One picture is taken with my back agsinst the tree I want to cut and the other is taken from below both at about the way the tree will fall. The I want to cut is about 20 to 25' uphill of the other and about 6' to the left.
I think I would pull it away from the fence from what little I can tell in the picture. If you drop it straight at the camera I think it will hang.
Yep, i thought i took the picture just where it would fall but rewiewing it I believe I was stand too far to the right.
I dont see the problem. If you are really worried about it you could leave your hinge strong on the way you want it to go. Or! Better yet, as I understand you post, the neighbors tree is dead already right? Maybe see if he wouldnt let you dump that one first. I mean, what the heck?
