As I recall in my Michigan travels Mahindra Dealers are quite popular.

Yep the other side of reality.

Nice looking tractors, but I like the oldies and it gives me something to tinker with.

I'll have to check to see where they are but not many in this area for sure. The Mahindra dealer is a bit closer to us than the Kubota dealer but not a big distance. I'll be checking out the John Deere too.

Figure out what tractor you like the best. Don't buy brand "A" becasue it wsa $1,200 cheaper. Then after you know what tractor you want go to at least 3 dealers and get prices. It is amazing how much the prices between dealers can vary. On a Kubota, you can buy them all day long for 12% off the build my kubota website price. A good deal is 18% off. The same goes for John Deere.

Or you can spend your whole life saving your money so you can pay cash for that beautiful tractor you always dreamed of when you are much older and then possibly die earlier than you thought and your money stays behind for others to enjoy! :dancer:Can't take it with you.

My wife would like it if we saved our money to pay cash for everything. If I did that, none of the major improvements to our home would have been done over 12 years ago when our first kids (twin boy and girl) were born. And then our next kid (girl) three years later. We would probably still be saving. But because I financed it, WE ALL have been able to enjoy a beautiful, comfy home for the last 12 years and the improvements are now almost paid for. Same as several machines (TLBs) I have financed over the years in order to make great progress on our home, property, and firewood addiction/enjoyment.

I am not waiting and saving all my money to enjoy it in my retirement age. I do put money into retirement every pay check and have been for 20 years now. But not as much as some. Like I tell my wife. I want to enjoy a good part of it now. While we are younger. While we are going through this great, but short life we live.

Sooooo, some times you gotta :makeitrain"and have fun doing it!

It is a tuff call. Smarter to save and have less debt. Yes. But you also have to enjoy life now.

Anywho. Hopefully all will be paid for when I retire. Home, land and camp, vehicles, barn, and tractor. I will work 10-15 more years. And then retire and work part time when I feel like it.

At least, that's the "plan". :thumbs:

Sounds like a lot of fun in your future Dennis - hope it works well for you! There is a young welder who had a youtube channel called chucke2009. He bought a Mahindra and I remember a video he made called 'watch this before you buy a Mahindra' - I can't remember anything about it, but perhaps worth a search and see what he had to say. I'm blessed right now with a neighbor who is a great friend - lets me use his new Branson tractor whenever I need it - they are incredibly useful machines! I'm 43 now, and I've been trying to convince my wife that when I turn 50 we need to have one for ourselves - if the finances are okay - we'll see! Cheers!

Haven't went back yet Gas but then, we're in no hurry at all. For example, the last time we bought a car it took 3 years of searching...
