Juniper? Looks like it. Does the bark look like a cedar bark? If it hardwood other than elm or oak im kinda lost.
Looks wise, I'm with Scotty. Bark and how the limbs carry to the center of the split look just like the pine I got a month ago. I'm bad at evergreen ID though. It being heavier than ash, is odd for softwood from my small evergreen experience. Is it dripping wet?
It's definitely wet. There is no sap, which is why I passed over the evergreens, but the bark does look like my pines on my property, just lighter. bocefus78, it came from that property you set me up with. It is the yellow wood stacked by the driveway, and it appears to have started turning white. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
Looks like some natural fir flooring with the brown streaks and heartwood. The only spruce and fir I've ever cut up for firewood were yard trees, they just don't grow naturally around here. The bark doesn't look quite right for pine but a distressed tree can look quite unnatural inside.
It can have smooth bark or rough bark . I have one in my driveway that has bark as rough as the one picture above.
No, kind of reminds me of visiting my uncle's hog farm when I was younger. I'm out of range for black spruce. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
