Thanks for sharing - I have never been there and it looks like a beautiful place in its own right. I don't think Abe would have appreciated an elaborate tomb. What is there has a lot of simple dignity to it - as you said, "Perfect".

 

My Grandpa is not sure on the date yet. He is having a logging crew take out a lot a trees in his timber. There will be tops galore. It would be pretty cool if I could talk him into it. I'll see what I can do.

 

Oh, I thought we were taking the Boy Scout approach, cheating is cheating, and Rodgers is (in effect) admitting to cheating...have a nice day.

yooperdave , I finally broke through that 209 mark but only by half a pound. I weighed in at 208.5 this morning before my 20 minute jaunt on the mill. I'll stick a 15 minute workout on the mill about 1 and then do my 30 minute around 4. I told the wife whatever my weight is next Sunday, it will be my last of the double sessions on the treadmill. I've lost 23 pounds since the start of this so I'm happy with that but would like 205.

The menu today is/was, Breakfast - two bowls of Cheerios... Lunch - one bowl of Cheerios.....Supper - a salad with some chicken on top with a few hot cherry peppers.

The menu for Sunday will be the same for breakfast and lunch but for supper I'll treat myself to a turkey burger (no bread) with a very hot tomato salad.

I did say that if I hit 205 that 200 would be next but I don't think I have another five I can lose.

This morning I had some REO Speedwagon going when I heard the door close at the top of the stairs.

 

Working the pits on a 500yd rifle clinic surrounded by full auto fire and artillery.....gotta love a .mil facility to see and hear some cool stuff.

 

Made some vanilla chip and cranberry cookies this morning for my bride to take with her on a ladies day out with my mother, aunt and cousins. We got all the cans and bottles returned, picked up a few roses for early valentine's then I took the dogs out to the wood lot for some exercise.

They found every puddle while I thwacked some ash/elm.



Next we're getting the car washed to go out for dinner with my bride and mother. We're going to put that gift card to use!

 

Time for some relaxation. Had some fun on the tractor today, even though I probably shouldn't of went out. The tractor is doing well so far. Looks like we could actually get some decent amount of snow tomorrow. We will see.

 

Sure was a nice day to be outside. I was in a t-shirt most of the day. Got muh new twang stick sighted in.

63 right now. Probably hit 65 earlier.
