Greaser welcome to the cuckoo bin. Enjoy that stove. And some good beer.

Welcome, that's a lot of stove for 500 sq. Should keep you nice and toasty.

What brand pellets are you burning?

Glad to help if you need any. Been running my cab 50 about 4 years.

Lol thanks Luneyburg, have you tried Evan Williams single barrel. Good stuff and inexpensive.

    Okay jtakeman sounds good.

I did turn the feed gate down as it seemed to almost be smothering it when it fed and now I have a much more consistent flame running at the proper hight of 4 to 8 inches on high.

    Thanks ttdberg.

Thanks dpopps, I sure hope so lol I am spray foaming with good windows and doors. I know an oak will be required once it is all sealed up.

I just did a test of the thermostat, heated the house from 20 to almost 60 in about an hour and 45 minutes. It then shut down properly and restarted as well. Super happy with it so far.

That's probably dialed in pretty well now then. Like Jay said, different pellets will burn differently but you're probably at a good starting point now.

Once you make feed rate adjustments it will take about 10-20 minutes for it to take effect, as the auger will still be loaded from the previous adjustment.

Looks pretty good. Not sure on those pellets, never seen them before. Maybe someone else has burned some?

Can't tell if it's the angle of the picture, but it Looks like you right side heat plate is not latched into place?

They seem to burn well but I have nothing to compare them to yet. Your right it doesn't, I will definitely check it. I thought I had them in good but it won't hurt to double check.

I got a bag of these to try, since I am not living in it I figure might as well give a few brands a try.

    X2...ash looks pretty good.

If you can or ever see a nice softie pellet or a Doug Fir (not sure what would be available out your way), grab a couple bags and give them a whirl...

Yessir I have ,you will be hard pressed to find a Bourbon I have not tasted over the years. The only one I can think I have not tried would be Pappy Van Winkle 20 year Reserve $2200-$3000 unless I hit the lottery I wont be trying it, but have had 12 year old Pappy's exceptional.
