I believe there is a market in Pa, Md, Wv, Ky, Va.
There are huge coal mines still in operation here. And thanks to politics, coal supplies are running high.

I'm late to the party but we do have several stoves with low clearances when the rear heat shield is installed. The Progress Hybrid has a 7" reduced clearance, and the Ideal Steel Hybrid had a 6" reduced clearance, and the Absolute Steel Hybrid has an 8.5" reduced rear clearance.

    Oldhippie,

The EPA has settlement money from the Four Corners Power Plant to facilitate a wood/coal change-out on Navajo land adjacent to the Four Corners Power Plant. We were approached by the EPA to design and build a stove that would be clean burning and designed to burn both wood and sub-bituminous coal (the coal they have access to). More on this can be found on our blog: Woodstock Soapstone Co. Blog: The Navajo Stove: The Rumors are True...

We appreciate the interest in this project!
