Heavy stump trick that is new to me

    This guy demonstrates a method on a "small" stump that would come in handy for a larger one.

    The only problem I can never cut a circle perfectly flat like that.

    Hand tapping in a few wedges is a lot easier than fighting the topside of a bar in a cut. I'll pass.

    thats a neat idea. I usually cut the stump really low to the ground. and angle the tip slightly downward that way I can keep the handle up out of the dirt, and cut really close to the ground. plus I can mow right over it. and it forms a small dish in the stump so that water will collect and sit inside the stump and rot the stump faster.
