I got to spend the day looking up the butt of a bulldog hauling chicken poop. It takes an act of Congress to get the regular drivers to work on a Saturday, and if they do all they do is pizz and moan. So as a foreman I'll do it every once in a while so I can hold that against them. I mean you're just sitting in a nice, warm, new truck driving a couple hundred miles of scenic backroad north and central Iowa, eating snacks, drinking Pepsi's, and all the while getting paid overtime. What a life!:picard:

I got outta driving awhile back for what I thought was a good move. Love my hours, but the paycheck is nothing they told me it would be. What you just described sounds like a dream trucking job. Good on you for picking up others slack!

Just piling it in the field before the spread it? Do they compost that for awhile or just put it down raw?

Nasty stuff. Flu? Norovirus? One is often followed by the other. Flu is respiratory with aches, pains, headaches and fever. The Noro is aches and pains, and lots of GI upset.

    211? Great!

After pizza on Fri and Chinese on Sat I only clocked in at 216 this morning. Had to hang onto the towel rack for a little while, but none the less 216!! :D (not really)

turkey dinner is history and now it will be picking at it the rest of the day. Only thing left is nap and game.....I mean treadmill and game!

Not really sure. Youngest daughter, who is now better, had more stomach issues. Wife and son currently have throat, sinus, head, cough and flem stuff. Yuck!

Yup on soup and hydration. Wife still tending horses. I always offer. But if she can do it she wants to. She is a real trooper. Yup on never slowing down. I like it that way. We do take our down times though. It is needed.

Pretty much raw. If it's fit they haul directly to the fields right out of the building. But if it's too muddy or too much snow for the trucks to get in the field, or if the crops are still in, they'll stockpile it in the big hoop buildings in the first picture. They just pile it up and don't stir it, so it cooks a little bit but not much. I think Butcher should get his CDL and come help, just think of the videos he could get having to work alongside my dipstick truck drivers.

The porterhouse, hot tomato salad and some pole beans tasted very good tonight, back on the Cheerios diet tomorrow and I won't step on the scales until Wednesday.

    My prediction is....

you'll step on the scale but won't report it if its bad!

One meal is no problem; you even stepped up the exercise!
