    I get so pi$$ed that no one on tv can say Super Bowl. Are we gonna have a live thread tonight? What are you eating? ( I know we have that thread already, but we all love food!)
    I'm rooting against NE but they will probably win. I'm also rooting against that Gaga fellow. :rofl: :lol:
    The pregame started yesterday afternoon :faint:

    I don't watch TV so I'm generally curious why it is taboo to say that? I have always heard it called The Super Bowl.

    Trademarked name - Fox, NBC, CBS are each paying ~$1.08B annually for NFL broadcast rights.
    I believe it affords those 3 networks to call it the Super Bowl - all others can be sued for use, as it implies a "paid" sponsorship/relationship.

    I prefer the Superb Owl

    It's only as big or as "super" as the marketing. (And the fact that others have to pay to call it the SuperBowl just drives that one home) In the end, it's just a football game, on TV.
