    Took my 1917 out for some exercise this weekend. I have a feeling that the 10 rounds that we shot cost more than the rifle when it was made.

    The receiver is s Remington that was made in 1918.

    Cool stuff, I love those old guns! I've got a Marlin 1897 .22 lever action that was made in 1907 or something. It still cycles and shoot but some of the rifling is gone so the bullets tumble instead of spin.

    I'm sure than ammo cost more than original cost of the rifle.

    I have my Great Grandfather's Remington Model 12 .22LR.

    I've shot a few steel target competitions with it and does quite well, placing 2nd in open sight class.

    I love those old pump .22s! They seem to catch my daughters eye too when we browse Cabela's used gun section, I may end up getting her one as her first gun.
