We had a firewood rack open so we put in two loads of wood today of some nice beech and sugar maple, I finally decided to get into our better wood. The oak and ironwood are ready but with these temps I'd rather burn the pellet stove with the wood stove. Unless bogydave sends us some really cold air we'll save the better stuff for next year.

We still have four face cord of cherry left and just over one face cord of mixed firewood left for the end of February thru whenever.

I switched out one receiver for another, the one I removed makes a crackling noise when you turn it up but once you stop....it stops.

    I actually never felt bad.
I controlled my sugar for 4 years with diet alone. Last summer it didn't matter how I ate it was high. Went to the Dr in Sept and she put me on metformin and BP meds. She was impressed I made 47 without meds considering family history.
I cut out bread totally except for zero sugar low carb rye and no pasta. Ive prolly had pasta 10 times in 5 years. The bread I don't miss ,, the pasta is tough. No store bought sweets. I'll make cookies with sugar sub or brown sugar occaisionalLEE .
Id like to drop another 30 over time. After 5 years its become a way of life and I don't mind.

Tonight I felt I needed something other than Cheerios or an Apple so I had a burger without the bread, a small piece of chicken and a very small portion of mashed potatoes.

I did get my workout in after my meal listening to some Joe Cocker and some Stevie Wonder for the cool down period.

We've decided the sleds go for a ride on Wednesday so I'll start them up later tomorrow.

Once the weather heats up I need to eat better, I couldn't do this diet in the summer.

Looks like you have control of your diet. I did also, but then got way off track, I mean really far off. Since July, I lost 42 lbs. But I need to loose another 107 lbs. Like you, I really had to gain control of what I was eating. My MD said, "it has to have eyes, or be green" No white food. I drew a line and have stayed on this side of it. I also go to the pool and exercise 4 times weekly. My A1C is 5.3 and my lipids are perfect. Thing is, I am 70 yrs old, and have horrid arthritis. Knees are very bad. But even at this age and being so overweight, I can and am trying hard to regain a lot lost ability and much less pain from the arthritis.

Similar here, not overweight, but went up a few clothes sizes and scale barely changed, you and I both know that means lost muscle replaced by 2x fat. Too hard to excersize, it's a double whammy. Then more TMI. I admire you Larry, keep it up!!

Keep it up Saves. You CAN do it! Maybe set a goal of something like 35 lb/year over the next three years. I know you can do it. 02/01/2020! Who knows, you may get there sooner.

Caffeine in. I'm taking the kids over to school this morning for something they have to do. Then it will be organizing and puttering around the house and feeding the boiler. Trying to burn up and finish off some scraps from the barn build.

You have great self control, Larry. Good for you in keeping at it. I know what you are saying about arthritis getting in the way of exercising. Keep up the good work!

Not frosty this morning but close. Awesome sunny day yesterday but cold at work. I sit under the fan for the heating/freezing system. I think I will take gloves to work this morning. Busy day at school. Got taken out by campinspecter for lunch yesterday though. That was really nice.
