I've never seen one with a battery installed G - most likely due to the customer never replacing the battery / battery leakage -> yet another service call..
    Nice fix, BTW.

got a new XFinity DVR a couple months back. they said it was free and they would send it to us. they don't say that if you dont return the old one they charge you $10 a month so it can sit on the floor. fat chance, I made them credit it back!

anyway, recorded GI Jane the other day (Demi ) and the stupid DVR ended with 30 minutes to go in the movie!:headbang::hair: that's like s$x without a happy ending!:smoke::smoke:

so last night after grandson Landon left, I started an NCIS recording...... it lasted 8 minutes and ended!:headbang::hair:

gotta take the stipid thing back............

After Saturday morning pellets, I had a small engine project to do. Install the crankshaft in this!

    crankshaft reinstallation.jpg bearings installed.jpg

All went well Sunday morning. Had a crew of 4 to bed the mains in and install the rod boxes. All babbit bearings, but fortunately in excellent shape! Next weekend we'll install the centerframe and the 4 cylinders (which are already loaded)

beer cans are for Will711 :D

Today I'm ordering a new 383 stroker motor for my truck rebuild. We wanted a bit more motor to tow a camping trailer. When I'm done with this project in a couple of months, Ill have an essentially new truck for under 10K. Far cry from the cost of a new GMC 2500.

It sounds like the time is off. Check the clock and time zone settings.

Thanks CF-she was thrilled to actually have wifi working at the house the way it was suppose to.

Hmmm, my modem from Metrocast has a battery in it and when the tech replaced the modem he transferred the battery. Must be a Comcast thing but that also means you lose your phone in an outage. If I recall, Metrocast advertises that the modem will stay active for phone during short power outages which mean that they have to provide the battery.

And you know, I never thought of it to be my responsibility to change the battery. Figured it was part of Metrocast responsibility. Guess I need to check on that as well.

OK, Just thought I'd let ya know that I'm still chuggin.........

Good news is I Fired my neuro nut today. She didn't give a dam about me or my issues. But had a shocked look on her face when I said her services would no longer be needed. Off to another, But gonna take some weeks to get in. My appointment is March 26th. I am on the cancellation list if someone else drops an appointment.

Now to replace my PCP who has also be about worthless besides collecting the fees.............

Hope I can make it to work tomorrow. Freakin head hurts and hate this wobblyness chit. All outta drugs the ER doc gave me. So its grin and suffer till I can see the next neuro-nut. Boostin up the vitimans(Magnesium-zinc-B12 and D3) will be my only relief for a while.

All of our emta's all have battery backup in them. I'm not sure the run time as they're just a small battery pack built into them.
