I dropped this cherry tree today. It's about 14" diameter (measured red-to-red) at the base. It's nice and straight up to about 19' and then it has a very solid looking, symmetrical crotch. From the outside, it looks like the crotch figure will be close to 3 feet. With this tree and one more chestnut oak log I pulled out today, I now have enough logs to call a portable saw mill sawyer. Any of you locals want to come over and help out?

Plus, I got to break in my new light-weight 25" bar. I like it very much, thank you.

Gonna be some nice lumber there. The crotch will make a really cool table or counter.

That's some good looking wood and saw! I also bought a new tsumura light and tuff just waiting on my saw to try it. I'm in the same camp waiting on some purdy milled wood pictures!

It is on an MS461. I also have a 32" for that saw and 16" for the MS261. All in 3/8 , 0.063.

Where did you get the bar? I might want to get a 32" for my Dolmar PS-6400 but it needs to be 3/8"-0.050 gauge.

I got mine from thechainsawguy on Ebay. He's up in Canada and I believe he only carries o.o63, However, fordf150 carries 0.050 bars, so I would recommend that you contact him.
