Wood burning and riding go hand and hand in my life! (as long as there is snow) Nothing better than coming home after a day of riding to a nice warm camp and fire! Post some pics! I'm riding a 2013 switchback assault international with a 2" paddle track. I like exploring old clear cuts and logging roads more than cranking on miles.

My sleds are old skool (1974 Chaparral SSX 340 and 1997 Polaris Indy XLT), I absolutely LOVE sledding!! Can't get enough of it in the winter, the winter seems to go by too darn fast IMO! I don't have many pics of my sleds on the phone, I'll try to remember to post some later......

Here's a video of me hauling some firewood off of the farm last year with the '74 Chap........

I like the vintage! I have a 1997 polaris xc 600, pretty much the same as the XLT sepcial that year. Nothing vintage. We use an 84 skandic and a trailer to haul wood around the camp up north. Its a blast.

My wife and I both ride. We are so lucky here in upstate NY to have a great trail system. We live a 1/4 mile from a state corridor trail. From there you can ride for many hundreds of miles.

I'm a trial administrator/trail master for our local club and am trying to get a trail cut to my house. I have to go about 1/2 mile from my driveway to hit a local club trail to a state trail. Its my side project for this fall. I also do a ton of riding in northern NH where my parents and boss have cabins.

In August we bought two 1997 Indy Trail 500, the trail might cut through the corner of our property (should find out this week) so were looking forward to riding.

We'll be breaking trail on our property once we get enough snow, this part (pictured) of the property is for personal use.

There is nothing better than a day of riding trails with the wife, coming home to warm up by the fire and...... you can guess the rest!

The trail runs from the Town of Colton to Tupper Lake then all the way to Old Forge.

Here is my last sled. 99 XLT 600. It ran pretty good :)

My son is now 12 Nd he remembers the good times on it. So this year, we are saving for another sled (gonna buy used, and a few yrs old) but look forward to shredding the snow. There isnt a lot of vast miles of trails like PA, NY and UP of Mi. But we have a large Snowmobile community and travel in packs of 10-40 at a time.

Here she is. I miss her..

Okay.. I guess I am now officially into snowmobiling... Hopefully the wife didn't pull the trigger on this sled as it looks like it needs a little work... I guess I know how to make the two blondies in the picture happy this coming Christmas. I imagine the girl is going to be a speed demon someday. Send the family off to pick pumpkins and they end up getting distracted... DuelburnJake, you got a tow rope?

Did lots of sledding when I was younger. Friend always had a pair of Yamaha sleds we used. Lots of great memories!

Kinda looks like a vintage SkiDoo Elan in the background there......did you ever see this modified 540cc Yamaha-powered Elan before? Some awesome vids of it on YouTube......I love the look of those old skool sleds, put a more modern motor in them and they can be badass toys......

I live in north central Mass, just below NH on Rt 119, so there's plenty of snow (most years...) but geezum, there is a snowmobile with a forsale sign on it every 1/4 miles here these days. I keep thinking I should stop and take a look, but I'm also a skier so.. and I don't have anymore room for anymore toys. damm!

We just came back from our County Snowmobile Association meeting, we are letting them use part of our property for the main trail which starts in our town.

Until you go to one of these meetings you never realize how much money and work it takes to maintain these trails, all the small clubs in each town deserve a chit load of credit.

Purchased some new accessories for my sled Saturday. I will be working on it this week getting it ready for the snow to fly. I also have a club meeting tonight, over the last month we have built 3 bridges and have one left and our trail system will be ready! Its getting close!

    With few roads here
Snow machines go about anywhere thru winter
Rivers become highways for those with remote cabins.
    Skandic log track for me
