My new Gun

I bought this Traditions 50cal. Frontier bp gun kit in Nov.
I had today off, so I decided to finish it up.
I had an old coal mine store coin from W.Va, so I inletted it in the stock today and installed the rear sight ( need a triangle file for front dovetail).
I aged all the brass furniture and the barrel in vinegar. And did all the tacks too.

 

Congrats !! Can we get a tighter picture of the finish? I'd love to see the effects of aging with vinegar, I've not tried that.

Very nice Jim. The knife I am working on will get a vinegar bath to add some patina.

 

I have been watching the Netflix series "frontier" and it has me wanting a muzzleloader.
