Looks like you just used it. Hopefully not too much snow.

Made a dump run today and then did some more organizing. And a few things around the house. Then took a little unplanned road trip to my son's basketball game up in da hills. Over an hour drive. Currently a close game.

With the week or so of warm temps we had here, everything melted and settled and left the snow pack with a nice heavy crust. Trying to use the snowblower in the driveway (where it hasn't been plowed/shoveled all year) was out of the question since the machine just rode up onto the top of the crust!

    Have a small world story:
Had a meeting with outside engineering firm (based in Boston) representing some banks on refinance of the plant's/owner's debt - his name sounded familiar.
After we met and had a cup of coffee one of the owners said "I think I remember Dan from xyz plant purchase" and I piped in I think I remember Dan as we were room mates when he came in as a new plant manager during my internship at a power plant in RI. Sure enough this was a guy I sat on couch with 17years ago and we drank my beer while he confided in me and asked advice on how to be the hired axeman for trimming fat at the plant I had just interned for during the summer. I think we were roomies for ~5days before I had to go back for my senior year.
I recall getting grilled be the employees at the plant about "what was going to happen" like I had an inside track and I just played stupid

Thanks Gasifier. What a night we picked to see a college hockey game, first on the back of our tickets a local store has a buy one sub get one free (made me real hungry) and after the game we came outside to a blizzard so after a long drive down 68 to Kunoco we were lucky enough to get behind a state plow all the way home.....wish we would of had one from Canton to Colton.

Tomorrow will get on the tractor early so I can clean the driveway out.

Today was a long 5th Monday in a row.

February is going to be a long month.

We're busy as hell, and only going to be busy all month. Between that craziness, and babysitting engineering it gets old.

Luckily it's looking like my vacation a bit South of the border is getting dialed in, so there's my destressification on the horizon.

Until then, I'll be in the woods splitting and hauling tomorrow. Err make that later this morning.

Slept in this morning. Time for caffeine. Then out to shovel the walks down. Not sure what I'm going to do today. Whatever I feel like. I'm enjoying this long weekend off.

First day off and not on call for 4 weeks, I think. I have no idea what I'm going to do yet, but it isn't going to be working for da man.

The drive up through the hills to Clifton-Fine was a dam County Road roller coaster, but the roads were dry. So enjoyable. On the way back it had snowed and was still lightly snowing so I had to go a lot slower over all those same roads. Of course watching my son play and then later the stop at Sergi's to pick up the goodies and say hello to Frank and his brother (can't remember his name right now for some reason :picard:) made it all worth the drive. :)
