Afraid I collect empty jd bottles , I tried collecting full ones but they keep evaporating with the heat from the fire
For our wedding my wife decided to collect a bunch of empty liquor bottles from our friends and I'd paint them white and top that with sparkly grey spray paint. She put flowers in each one and used a couple at each table as centerpieces. Turned out that we drank enough bourbon during the year of wedding planning that we pretty much filled the quota on our own!!
But Jack Daniel's is not bourbon, it is Tennessee sour mash whiskey... If it is not made in Kentucky it cannot be bourbon... KaptJaq
I certainly don't collect them that would be ok not true I drink them then put them in bottle return bucket mthen bring them back so people don't know how much we drink... except that bottle return guy
Oh none of our bottles were JD except for a bottle of Gentleman Jack somebody gave me. The majority was Woodford Reserve and Knob Creek. But while it's true JD is not a bourbon, there are a handful of bourbons made outside of KY. To be a called a bourbon it just has to be made in the US, aged in new charred oak barrels, and I think there's a rule about the corn content as well. There's no requirement that it be made in Kentucky per Congress.
