I lived in my motor home. Blew the motor last week of nov. got talked in buying a house. Was specifically told no wheels aloud.
1 acre 960 sq ft. I know it seems small to everyone but after living in a 28 ft motor home with no slide out it seems huge to me.
Now i need to buy a wood stove and move about 35 cord of wood. Thankfully its only about 10 miles one way.

You could also stack your wood to make privacy fence. I dwell on one acre. It's all we could afford at the time. Now looking for more. Is what it is, make the best of it.

Nice. I've got 3/4 of an acre and that's pretty big for my area. Kinda sad actually. Lol. You can do a lot with an acre.

My house in 925 sq ft, I installed a Kerr wood furnace add-on to my existing oil furnace, tied it into the the ductwork and viola ! Toasty warm all winter and the oil man visits me every 3 to 4 years. Smaller is better !

My house is 950 sq/ft, so yours doesn't seem small to me. Your back deck is larger than my back porch (unless you count the 36' of ramp).

    Welcome to home ownership!

That is a good size, just don't collect a lot of stuff that you will need to put away. We downsized when we divided our house into two areas, one for us, and the other, a bit larger for my son's family. Good thing for me I have a garage with an upstairs. Way too much stuff we don't need or use. We heat our area with a p68 Harman pellet stove. So hot in here. My wife loves the heat, me, not so much. That one story home should eat just fine if it is well insulated.

Nice. Lots of windows in that house too which helps especially in a small house.

Especially like the bay window. Those are so nice for getting plants the sunshine they need while keeping them from taking floor space. and then you get all the light from them too.
