Decided to enjoy the nice temps and get outside. Some sugar maple, red oak and white oak. It was good to have my dads help along with the pup. Got some stacking to do now!

Thanks Woodporn. Used the 261 with a 16" for most of the cutting.

Good show. Smart to keep that hatchet handy, too. Mine is always riding on the splitter. Used to be I always forgot it in the garage until I got a funky split that needed a hand to get loose.. Now I'm (mostly) smart enough to keep it on the splitter and bring it out to the pile with me by default.

Yep, that maple was a bit stringy, needed a couple whacks of the hatchet on a couple to get em loose.

Wow-dry ground and sunshine? Great looking work and pics all around Spencer-Is that saw a CM? Its been so wet here IDK when I'm going to get out again. I did hunt some (should have c/s/s) but I checked my last wood working photos and the date is Nov 7 regrettably :(. Thank goodness for the 3yr plan---Again-Awesome pics man!

Thanks for the pictures Spencer. It looks unbelievably dry there! Interesting looking splitter you have too on that tractor and I see it can be operated the right way too! Vertically!

Yep its a CM. Its been wet here but was just dry enough to get the tractor back there to split. I left it in the woods till it freezes up some.

I was also cutting with a 361 and a 441CM. The 261 is still my all around saw.

This part of the property is up on a ridge so it stays fairly dry. It was much wetter in the bottom.

THe splitter is run off a pto pump. It works really well. Thing i like about the splitter on the tractor is that its quiet.

I too like the quiet. I do wear ear covering when splitting. Put a new motor on now so hoping it might be quieter.

Nice work Spencer. Like the tractor splitter setup. Wish my woods were as open as yours. Only thing I see wrong with your rig. is it's not Orange
