that 461 was taken the day i bought it ,i put it in a box before ever fueled and sent to mastermind ,it was the first one he did ,there was a thread on a/s about this saw the 044 was a project i did ,buying nos parts off ebay to put together ,the orange cover on the 044 is part of the winter kit ,helps keep the engine warm when cutting in frozen weather ,i have since parted out that 044 ,it was too pretty to use and i could not get enough out of it trying to sell it a while back ,i do not actually like the screw caps so that 10mm cylinder and crank is in a 440 chassis now ,for a saw i use i like a newer model chassis ,less problems with fuel leaks etc
here is the 461 and the 660 ,the 461 has prototype dogs built by metals406,i worked back and fourth with him making them up
I was thinking the parts on ebay brought more than the saw did? Thus there are all those guys buying brand new saws and then parting them out. I considered that at one point. Buying farm bosses and 250s and parting them out for sale to make money.
Husky, Jonsered, Stihl, McCullock, Poulan, ... If it starts easy & consistantly, doesn't vibrate my hands off, & will pull a chain with authority, I will use it. But I do like the looks of the Jonsered.
