I just bought a 372 off a guy and he also had a big ole Stihl in the trunk. All the tags are off and I couldn't ID it with them. I checked the air filter and intake and part numbers started with 1111. Hoping someone could differentiate between models in that family.

    Parts availability? Worth $20?

How can you tell it's not a 075 or 076?

075/076 generally have a manual oil pump over ride button in the front.

    I am pumped about the 372 I brought home. I had to share. IMG_3051.JPG IMG_3052.JPG IMG_3053.JPG complete with 20" b/c, non runner $50.
Also a sheet metal break for $50.

You could turn that 051 into a 075 (111cc) you just need a piston and cylinder you can get aftermarket ones fairly cheap. You just won't have the manual oiler.

Definitely an 051. And worth 20 bucks for sure.
