So, I over filled the water pot on my brand new stove and now its got visible residue. It is a steel stove, my old stove was cast iron and stove black cleaned everything. Any ideas on how to clean the steel? Thanks
Let it cool down then take a wet rag and wipe it. If it has a rust mark or calcification might need to use some lime away but then clean it well with fresh water. It's just a painted piece of steel, if all else fails mask that area and give it a shot of black high heat paint.
I use a gallon milk jug to fill the pot on the stove now. Much easier than carrying a big pot around and very seldom spill any water on the stove. Maybe an occasional drip. Let the stove cool down and give it a little rub with a wet rag to loosen up the residue
