Locust for sure. For goodness sake, be careful of them thorns! I had to have surgery last year to remove a 2" section of a locust thorn from the palm of my hand. I wish I would have been more careful - cost me a week off work, lost pay and a few thousand bucks for the procedure. But, boy that stuff sure burns good!

The question is, have you burnt the wood yet? It should be getting ripe on a 3 year plan. This thread is from the 4th day of FHC.com.

Better late than never: For sure honey locust! Not only great firewood, it makes beautiful flooring and or furniture when milled.

We are burning it right now. It was intended for last year but it was unseasonably warm.

It's tough to keep our website updated too, mainly because it's hard to get the info I need to update it.

I work with a circa 2K5 machine I built, top ram is only 3 gigs, single core AMD 64 bit processor; one of the first I think, on an Asus mainboard. It runs 24/7/52 (yes, I know the correct form). I hold it together with chewing gum and baling wire.
