My son-in-law dropped of the first load of wood for the year this morning. He's going to try and bring 2 or 3 more loads today.
When the Aleve kicks in, I will start to work on it. Other years they were in firewood size chunks, but what the heck I can do a little work.

Hard to complain about this! Makes for some easy cutting. Son-in-law deserves a pat on the back for sure.

So, that is what grass looks like? I'd forgotten.

Great load, would love to have some delivered here. That is the stage where most of the hard work is done! What is the wood type?

Just think; it won't be long now before we all see grass. It is just that we don't dare try to hold our breath long enough before it shows...

"Winter" in most of Ohio has been pretty mild this year...our grass is more green than usual for January too...

Most of it is Ash, a few logs are oak, cherry walnut and hackberry. One log is locus.
It is the start of my 3 year plan. Some of the Ash and walnut will be stacked for next years burning. I plan to put the oak, locus and cherry back.
