Just some outside burning today.

The first picture is the area I was cleaning up (I'll get the after pic tomorrow) I only got three loads done today.

 

Most of the time I do about six loads but I started the fire different and it really only took off once so I'll go back to my regular way and have the limbs cut to size before the day I burn.

I guess we're in for another warm week so maybe I'll get the chipper out instead of burning, I think Friday we'll be cooking steaks over the fire. I should be down to 217 or 218 by then so a nice steak with a hot hot tomato salad will be good.

I really like your fire pit thewoodlands , I've just got a small amount of brush to burn now so I'm stocking up on skids.

 

Nice looking firepit Zap.... I could use a big brush burn pit, but I'm worried about setting the woods on fire. I don't really have a good place to put it.

You have inspired me to think about one...

 

Today would be a good day to burn any brush pile outside, but I just don't have any to burn!

 

Need potatoes wrapped in foil and in a tin can nestled in the ashes of the that fire.

 

Making the fireplace was my first time with a Kubota/hydraulics which opened our eyes on maybe getting a tractor which we finally did. I dug over a foot and then took out all the roots and did all sand. I'll only burn when it's real wet or when we have snow.

We're talking about getting a PTO driven chipper for the Mahindra, we'll see.

 

I'm still losing weight so that will be spring before I can eat a tater. This will be the week I get out of the 220's to 218 or hopefully below. My target weight is 205 which will be a drop of 26.5 pounds from my high weight this year.

 

You're putting me to shame, Zap! I've stalled right around 217-219 and can't seem to re-start.
