I'm not sure what will go on tomorrow but it would be a good day to burn some of the chit wood from my trail clearing.

 

Who you callin disproportionit?

 

Well, we didn't get any ice which means no big $ from melting it I had my doubts. We may get a Lil bit here about 8am.

I guess I will work on the reloading room remodel once the stores open.

How'd everyone else make it thru the ice?

 

I might add that your arms should be fully extended straight out (parallel to the ground) also.
Learned this back in firefighters training.
I see little stickers on the ladders rails also now-a-days which helps one allign the ladder in safe positions.



These stickers are a little tough to read as the print is smaller.

I found that when you're laying on top of the ladder after falling down the side of the garage, if you roll to the side just a bit you should be face to face and the sticker is easier to read then!

No ice for us, luckily. We had enough of that freezing rain earlier this week.

I'm going to get out in the woods today, to cut or haul wood. If there's enough snow, I'll haul. If not I'll just cut. I plan on getting out tomorrow too, but we'll see how I feel after today. I'd rather get 2 days of 3-4 hours of work than one of 5 hours.

I just looked at the weather. 17° now, and by 3 pm 30° with 9 mph winds. Much better wind conditions than I'm used to. I'll plan on felling at least 1 bigger tree.

 

We got some ice here but nothing to get excited about. Tonight might be interesting.

 

Fortunately, my glasses flew off, which allowed this to be accurate. Bifocals suck at that range.
However, the sudden stop at the end of my gravitational plunge to that nice soft sand (uh, not) resulted in a momentary lapse in my ability to breath. I was a bit preoccupied with that little nuisance to worry about ladder setup directions.
The story could continue with my regaling all about the "great truss/ladder incident of 2007", which was yet again proof that I am not a pretzel, but I'll spare you.

 

Error 403 Forbidden

 

Have a nice Henkel kitchen knife that developed some cracks in the handle over the years. Today I decided it was time for a new one. Made one out of some black locust and some brass hooks. Turned out OK for my first try.

When I sanded the brass flush it got hot enough to burn the wood a little. Live and learn.

Just need to sand a little more and give it a finish and it's done enough.

 

Whole damm thing is creepy.

 

I can't tell you how it happened. It just did. I thought the hooks were engaged, but I must have been reckless and didn't ck the way I should have. I had to jump off or risk going through the glass window.

 

Both of my "on-call" projects for work are done. Only had to answer the phone 8 or 9 times.

I recon its time to relax and enjoy a cold barley pop.

Watching football today after getting caught up on some sleep. Seattle vs Atlanta is a good game so far. Atlanta just tied it up.
