Finally got my 2018/19 stack done. About 2/3 oak and other mixed hardwoods.
3.25 cords ready and waiting! Cut, split, stacked, and covered in a nice sunny spot. What a good feeling!!!

Thats a good looking stack and a nice location for it. I like the rubber roofing. I need to find some of that. Right now I have a hodgepodge of tin, plywood, and tarps covering some of my stacks. Keep up the good work.

    Nice, TD.
I was aiming for the same mark this fall, but fell just short.
    That's a great looking stack.

Great job! Wish everyone knew the importance of being ahead on wood. Don't know how well you can see but it was about 5 gallons worth. 20150905_162656.jpg

That would be my buddies chimney. He's an old school dry wood burns up to fast kinda guy. I figured I'd clean his chimney for him after the first year in his new house.. kinda show how bad it was/make him change his ways. Well we get done cleaning sweep it all into a bucket he looks down and says "not as much as I thought there'd be" :bug:. I tried to explain the consequences of what he was looking at with fire bad draft loss of home. He just looks at me and says been doing it all my life this way. So that was that can't fix stupid.

Probably a nice enough guy, but the unwillingness to learn irks me.

I know many people who think they're smarter because they've been doing it for X number of years. I'm willing to listen to what you have to say, what I do with that information is up to me.
