How about that game last night?

Seems like we have quite a few Ohio Boys here. Not so many SC folks here.

As most can tell from my name who I was pulling for and that I am happy with the outcome. Championship here we come for the Bama rematch.

I'm not a football fan, and absolutely not NFL bit I do like to watch clemson play since I funded a small portion of the school over several years that I spent there.

 

well I'm rooting for ya! biggest concern is opponents coach has talent!

 

luckily Dabo has some inside knowledge of that team having spent a few years there as a grad assistant and then assistant coach.

Doing good down here!! I meant to find this thread earlier today and post, but got side tracked

 

Have to wear a Clemson shirt and hat today for celebration. A hat or shirt is not an uncommon thing but both I usually don't do unless it's gamed or something a lot of time. And this is a particularly loud shirt with Clemson Tigers also written on the arm as well. Also dug out the car flag and even threw it on the work truck today. Just got out of the truck to take this pic to prove I wore this today. Haha

 

happy for you! always good to root for under dog and they win.. was it just my TV or was the avg Bama player 2x size of Clemson?

 

They have a few big guys yea. That back that left for his ankle late in the game that scored the first 2 looks huge but he is only like 230...not sure why he looks that big?
Boulware for us is not huge but he is nasty , Watkins on our line is big. The receiver that made the winning catch is small yess. He was told he was too small to play at this level. Deshaun gained like 20 lbs of muscle for this season.

 

yeah that back looked huge especially running up on those poor safeties!

 

was a great game, though the 1st half was pretty dull the 2nd half more than made up for it. had anyone told me that Bama would score 14 in the 4th quarter and still lose I'd have laughed out loud. but it happened, Clemson showed incredible heart late in the game, they just refused to let Bama get back in their head.

 

They do get almost their pic in recruiting, when you WERE the best team in the nation it's not hard to recruit the biggest, strongest, fastest , bestest (I know not a word) players. That's how Bama stays on top. Clemson success here recent years has helped our recruiting efforts and that should only get better!

 

What!!!! I guess you do not have satellite, we watched it on ESPN. Yall don't have dial up do you? You could of live streamed it off the Web ,juse would have to prop that new laptop up on a tv tray and watch it.

 

yeah they do, but ive been saying (locally when im chatting it p with family and all) that Bama was beatable, great defense but very little offense. heck if Washington had any kind of offence at all they could have won over Bama, they had enough D until they got worn down due to all the 3 and outs , this happened to Bama late IMHO also, the offense couldn't stay on the field to allow them to rest (and they weren't as deep this season as they were in past couple seasons) when Clemson started finding success it let their defense get that rest. then when Bama lost that one big tailback they started falling apart because they really didn't have much else, QB was a nifty runner but just "not ready for prime time" in the passing game

 

Congrats!!! Awesome game, perfect outcome. I think Watson is a quality human. Hope he continues his success in the nfl.
