I agree! Love it. And at the same time reminds me of all the abused unloved dogs. People who do that should be severely held accountable. I cleaned that up a lot 'cause wasn't exactly what I wanted to say. Chief

Ok, I'm starved! Need a new pet pic.
Here is my neighbor dog looking for his Mommy to come home from work. He lives at our house whenever she is gone. Such a sweet boy. God forbid, if Deb passes away, Rascal goes to us in her will. Chief

Maine has some very strict laws regarding animal abuse, outlawing puppy mills, selling puppies without a license, hoarders etc. Animals are not allowed to run unattended. Must be licensed and have rabies shots. Even mutts here from the pound cost about $300. Senior and special needs pets cost less. Hundreds of dogs are imported from the south and from other nations for adoption here. The hard to place dogs are the Pitt bull mixes.

How much do we love our animals??? Ask my Daughter! Today, my daughter was on her way home from College, "where she works and graduated from" going through a back local road about 35 to 40 mph.
A dog shoots across the street, :startled:leash attached, "dog got away from owner", Daughter hits brakes and swerves,"remember, we just had snow storm" and hits a pole. This was her graduation present we got for her out of high school. "SHE'S OK"!!! Shaken but ok. The lady who scooped up the dog said, did this dog cause this? "REALLY"!!! The Police officer almost wrote her a ticket! My daughter didn't get a ticket, and lucky there were witnesses.
I believe the car is pretty much "jacked"... :( We just got home, The body shop said it's borderline totaled because of it's year, you can't see it to well but the whole fron't of the car has a twist. All she cared about was if the dog was ok and didn't get hit! "boy my bills keep getting bigger" :zip:

It is my understanding that the owner of the dog is liable for the cost of your Jeep's repair/whatever. We hired a girl to come by and tend to our dog while we were away camping for a couple days. The girls Dad came to our house to pick the girl up. The girl had let our dogs out into the yard. They ran in front of the father who was riding a motor bike. He said the dogs cause him to dump his bike to avoid hitting them. That dump damaged his bike. Our home owners insurer said I was liable and they paid for the repair and told me I was lucky he wasn't hurt of going for more money. The event took place on the road in front our my house. Dead end road that ends in front of my house.

Wow! I guess if you own a dog you know this prayer is so true. Share our bed every night and that's fine with us.

She looks like a lot of fun! I love animals for their simplicity. Food, water, shelter, and the love and companionship of their family. It just doesn't get any better than that. Humans can learn so much from their animals if they just pay attention. We make life too complicated. They just boil it all down to what is really important. Chief

:picard: Just cut the dogs nails, guess I trained them too well, they get a treat when done, and get very excited. Honestly I protect my face and arms from the excited sharp nails on their legs flying around in excitement. Well, no scratches but Blondie got her head underneath mine while I leaned over to use my arms to get up off the floor, direct hit from her skull to my cheekbone. It really smarts!!! Hopefull no bruise, my Father is coming up on Saturday.
