    Do tell! I just happen to have an old school king on deck out in the garage waiting for the Princess in the house to get tired. Hasn't happened yet! But boy, I didn't know the firebox was that big! Oh boy!.

    -21 this morning when I left for work. Didn't check the wind chill, but with that temp I can tell you the wind chill wasn't fun at all!

    I think it may have gotten above zero during the day, not sure. Only thing is it sure didn't feel like it!

    Current temp 3° headed down to - 2° overnight. Loaded the stove with a bunch of birch and ash, and have the pellet stove going.

    Woke up to 4, went up to 16, down now to 8. Headed to 0 they say. Cleaned the ash box & adjusted the baro damper a bit. Held a nice steady 70 in the shop all day. Very little wind & even some sun. 100% Red Oak doing the job. Gonna do some "guy stuff" with the neighbor lady's grandson tomorrow. Got an old poulan 12" saw he's gonna take apart for fun. Should be a good day.

    balmy 28ºF outside 67-72ºF inside, depending which end of the house you're at, upstairs from the stove 1/2 full of red oak.
    Forecast for snow tomorrow was 8-12", now it's 10-15. We'll see what happens tomorrow with the forecast update and accumulation.
    Estimate for this morning's snow was 1-3" favoring 1" and we got 5".

    It's 5 degrees with the temp heading south for the night. We have five splits of Sugar Maple in the Liberty and the Pellet Stove is set on manual so it pumps this ole barn full of heat, it's 80 in the heater room and 71 up here.

    we are 10 degrees and dropping. No idea how cold it might get. Usually the ocean keeps us from getting the deep cold that they get in the mountains like where Well Seasoned lives. About the worst I've seen here is -20F. At least we have a good snow cover so most of my plants will be OK.

    Mine is of the 1984 vintage. I added a baffle, but she's certainly not a wood mizer like the newer stoves. I can heat a 1960 house in negative temps from an uninsulated basement on 2 loads a day though.
