For over 20 Years I have been cleaning my pellet stove with bags, and filters, to keep the dust ash from the house. And for this time I have watched the prices go high and higher, as the demand goes higher. I have read here that most like so many different methods. WHAT is the BEST and CHEAPEST way to handle our dust, and ash? I have not forgot the " WHITE SOCK" either . (T) If you use just the Clean Steam Shop Vac #90340 without the Bag, how long before it clogs? Thanks for your Help Tommy
I have the Powersmith Ash Vac. Love it and it's short money. Frequently goes on sale here but for now it's $80 PowerSmith Ash Vacuum
We use just a regular bag, with an Ultra Web HEPA cartridge installed in the Shop Vac here, to vacuum out the upper Heat Exchange shelf, intake below the burn pot, and anything else that falls out of the stove when cleaning.. the bag lasts about a full season, but we also dump the burn pot & ash tray into a separate large metal lobster pot: which gets spread at the edge of the driveway with sand, when needed. (Like today.)
I like the shop vac because of the volume of air and the power of the 4.5 HP with the metal 5gal metal tank. Thanks Jay
