Hello everyone, I have to admit that I have been creeping for a while but decided to join.
Seemed to be the right fit for my "addictions".
My wife thinks I'm nuts with collecting saws, and my kids constantly
ask me don't you think we have enough wood already dad?
Anyways glad to be here and thanks in advance.

All that wood is like money in the bank. You cannot have to much. The saws are a means of acquiring the wood and also the benefit of a great hobby. I think I am up to about 50 saws now. About 40 of them are working saws. Besides people around here who really know how to work on 2 cycle engines seem to be an oddity. Welcome.

Welcome to the madness. Fairly new here myself. Lots of advice, and yes, differing opinions.

    Welcome to the forum Ben.

You are okay with your addictions. Worry not about others thinking you are crazy and no, you no doubt do not have enough wood on hand.

Welcome Pa. Ben - You're gonna like it here, I guarantee it. We have many certified addiction counselors on staff here, some more "certified" than others...My first advice to you is "Cut More"

Again welcome and nice to meet ya! :handshake: And remember-we like pics, dogs and beer...

There is only one reply to that question; "One can never have enough wood."

Right where I want to be.
I've had an idea on how to respond to that question for a while.....
Give 'em some nice, freshly cut (from a live tree), split Oak, and tell 'em to set it on fire.
Could be a teachable moment, ....or hours.
After that exhausting exercise, hand 'em some 2-3-4 year dry Oak, with the same directive.
It would be an absolute teachable moment.

Pull up a log and sit a spell around the fire.....glad to have you. If your family and friends aren't asking the question about having too much wood you just don't belong here......lol
