Found some time to run the splitter yesterday and today. Worked on some shoulder season wood yesterday(soft maple and some unknowns) and red and white oak today. Slowly knocking down the stacks of rounds! I may not like the oak seasoning time but it's sure nice to work with!

    Shoulder season heap.

I need to do the exact same thing so I have some room to bring in rounds but I want to cut when the ground is solid or I might miss it. Then in the spring it's harder because of plowed and planted fields.

Good stuff! I am hoping for enough warm weather to melt the snow cover next week so I can do the same... Got some Norway maple and red oak calling my name that I'd love to get stacked before spring! Not to mention the massive pile of pine that I've been procrastinating on..

Worked a little on the oak today. The heap is slowly starting to look like something.

Slowly working my way towards the white oak rounds closest to the camera.
