For a secret Santa gift I received this wonderful book from none other than Grizzly Adam. Thank you Adam!

So I have now completely read the book and thought that if anyone was interested in reading it, I will gladly send it to them.

Only one little hitch. I would like it back.

However, if someone does get it and then forwards it to another member, that is great. Keep it going but in the end I would like it returned.

So if you would like to read this, just send me a private conversation with your name and address and you shall recveive.

I have a good friend, a wood shop teacher, and he does some part time work at a local saw mill. The owner of the mill dismantles barns, and chestnut logs are one of his favorites, he makes high quality flooring with them.

It's interesting you started this thread, as I just took a pic of this table yesterday in an antique shop....

    I bet it's a great read.
We had a chestnut tree in the back yard growing up and when we were kids would throw rocks to knock down the ones that hadn't fallen and busted off the outer shells with rocks to get at the prize inside.
Did the whole 'chestnuts roasting over an open fire' in the fireplace in the living room thing too.
Mostly mom used the oven though.

I received the same book for Christmas. I mentioned it to my wife several months ago that it looked like a good book and she was kind enough to buy me a copy.
    I'm excited to read it!
