don't know about the rest of ya.. 40 to 50 mph wind here... blowing so hard my shepherd is going nuts as leaves from somewhere are blowing across the frozen tundra of the front yard!

And Gasifier barn would stand just like that one it's built so well!

The wind here keeps getting stronger!
Wind chill is now at 5 and temps are a dropping. Another hour when its getting dark, the wind chill should drop like a rock!

They just left... so we shall see... I gave Dad my old iPhone 6 and mom got her flip phone... Dad was catching on pretty good, I'm sure he'll have questions later on. That's the nice thing about iPhones they are pretty easy on the basic function learning curve....

so, lets say she was the one who won the money. Would she have to convince you to let her buy something she wanted? (and you both would benefit from)

Even if it's just something she wants (shoes, bag, jewelry, snow tires, etc...). If it's found money and can be considered "disposable" income, let him/her dispose of it as they please.

We made a short trip up to Kittery, ME. to the trading post. I finally used the gift card from last year's Secret Santa NH mountain man . It did not loose any value which surprised me. I ended up with a small Jet Sled for the ice fishing gear and a sharpening stone for my edge tools. It is hard to keep the wallet closed up there.

The ponds see pretty frozen solid, with no snow on top. I hope to make the first trip out next weekend. I'll start prepping the gear this week.

A smaller fire behind the house tonight. A little windy, but everything covered in snow and got some rain just before fire. I may, may be tipping something cold.

Nope. There wouldn't be a single issue on my end.

    I'm still working on her.:tears:

A nice Christmas. I don't "need" anything. Wife and I now have a very nice barn. That is our Christmas present to each other.

I bought this machine for a certain job. To move a LOT of dirt/fill. That job is coming to an end. Time to go back to a TLB with quick attach removable backhoe so I can do three point hitch stuff. I would rather have one machine to take care of than two.

I think you have it figured out....if you don't need it, get rid of it.

I am going to miss her though. Each time I use the grapple I say , ugh! :picard:The only other option is trying to buy a reliable cheap tractor for three point hitch stuff and keeping this. But then I have two large machines to store and care for.

I'd be tempted to buy that if you were closer. Finally time to get off my wallet now that the land and house are paid for:makeitrain"

It's on Craigslist and in Classifieds here. Hopefully it won't take long. Have a guy from Connecticut talking with me and trying to get here this week, with a trailer, in case he decides to buy it.

I'm guessing this machine was way more capable than the really nice Kubota you parted with?
It's a conundrum in the heavy equipment world - something that does something really well? or something that does it all sorta kinda.

I've run a lot of older equipment and newer equipment and the creature comforts of ergonomic joystick controls are hard to beat

Got the new couch:thumbs: power recline and I can sit upright without sitting on a pillow.
managed to get it in the house myself as the GF was getting antsy, she also ran straight to town for a fleece blanket so the dogs won't mess it up - I feel like Ray Romano's Mom's house:rofl:
