I see a bunch of 5.0s my wife hates that body style. I love it with a good loud throaty free flowing muffler and a built motor.

A decent meal, tomorrow when the kids come, a tree will get unwrapped. More food consumed and a nap taken.

Socks and some new beer mugs here. Oh, and oddly enough, a bunch of happy kids. And all at the same time too. Pretty sure it's just the calm before the storm though.

I had no clue what that was either. I thought it was maybe a "wood moisture transcendence nerf herder facilitator rack".

My wife normally only gets me one thing a year, she'll probably save up and get me something for my birthday in October so I didn't get anything for Christmas. But she did help me win a nice accessory for my new truck. Normally she makes fun of me whenever she knows I'm on a forum or doing something internet related, but last week I asked her to help me take a picture for the "Truck of the Month" contest on an F150 forum and she agreed without her usual remarks about how stupid forums are lol.

The prize was a Extang Solid Fold 2.0, a MUCH nicer tonneau cover than I'd ever buy. The contest was to take a picture of your truck decorated for Christmas, or in front of holiday decorations, or with your family dressed up in holiday attire. Everybody else took a picture of their truck in front of the house, not putting much effort into it. I figured everybody loves a cute baby so we staged this:

I got the email Christmas Eve that I had won the contest!

I'm pretty excited for it to arrive. Should look something like this:

I got a few things, but my most impressive gift was the good time my family had getting together. Here is a picture that reflects that feeling.

She got a mixer, but not kitchen aid. I would have bought her the Kitchen Aid, but she wanted a mixer that could be used by hand, and in the stand. I had just bought her a new kitchen stove, so she really didn't want me to spend a lot on the mixer. I have the high powered Kitchen Aid mixer. She could use it any time she wants. She and my son and their two kids live in the apartment above us. They move in to look out for the old folks!

It's raining pretty good tonight so we'll lose most of the snow we have.

I thought I would go big this year and ask Father Christmas for a radial arm saw. So Christmas morning I woke all excited and rushed to the tree. Nothing there. Oh well. I buy my own gift each year and this year I was actually going to see about buying a new digital camera with decent video recording. However, my searches turned up cameras there were way too pricey; so this year I did not get anything but will wait and see if I can get a new camera for my birthday. I would like a decent EVF with high enough resolution to be really useful as an EVF (I don't go for that arm thing trying to frame a photo in a washed out LCD and then what you were trying to shoot is gone), CMOS sensor, decent zoom and decent pixels; and for the video, at least 1080 at 60 fps would be nice. To get this sort of camera I was going with either refurbished or like new used. However, they are still out of my price bracket for the moment.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and that the New Year is the best one ever!
