I've been riding since I was 16. I just turned 64. I can't tell you how many different bikes I've ridden in that time. Of later years, I like many others, rode Harley. My wife started two up riding with me several years ago. Although she never complained much, she really didn't care for the vibration and noise of the V-Twins. The first trip we took on the Goldwing upon stopping @ the first gas stop, I asked her how she liked it. Her response was that it was great but that she thought she would need a seat belt. My response was why. She chuckled and admitted that she fell asleep while we were rolling down the hi way. I have been advised that there will be nothing but Wings in our house as long as she is riding. They are smooth and quick for sure. @ 70 mph we can hold a over the shoulder conversation as if we were sitting still. I have to admit, it is a joy to ride, especially for us white beards.....LOL

Simple rule of thumb to follow. Keep in mind that EVERY cager is out to kill you.

Might help in some instances, but until they take the cell phones and shove them up to where the sun don't shine, your more than likely to get run over while they are needlessly yapping or texting on the D _ MN thing.

I had an armored jacket but if I were ever to get back into riding I think would invest in this kind of vest and helmet:

I had a patient who was a quadriplegic, a nice young guy who hit a black bear on his sport bike and went over a guardrail as a result. It took a while for him to be found. I have to wonder if he might be walking today if he had been wearing a vest like that.

I had a 74' 900 Z-1, it was fast but not as fast as my buddy's Kaw 750 triple with expansion chambers. He was going to build a drag bike out of a 500 triple but never got around to it.

    Brian,
Love the video. Have always been a fan of the Urals since they made their US debut.

    Brian,
A pic of my '04 Bullet Sixty-Five (no longer sold). The newer ones have EFI and could very well get 80 MPG. Overall, a great bike - easy to work on, dependable, etc.

I agree, but my daughter got me a green florescent vest to wear and I keep it in the saddlebag. Great for night and rain riding. I use it frequently. Sometimes during the day too if I'm in high traffic areas.

Haha, yeah, it's a real nice bike. I run it to work and back in summertime.

    Here's an awareness test....
