It's 32 out, I just loaded up the liberty off coals from this mornings fire with more cherry, it's 74 in the basement and 70 degrees up here.
Not a clue on temp in Leeds but just put three small bits a cherry on iv had for ages . It's a whole new kinda flame . Like turning tv over only better
Northern Florida, I'm not sure it has ever gotten into the the teens and low 20s in South Florida. At around 50 down south the folks are dressed like January in Canada. Lol Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
I know once you get up to that Georgia border then it can cool down pretty good during the winter, but I was not to far off.
37 today, no fire, didn't want to choke out the roofers, ran electric heaters, back addition will be finished tomorrow, no fire then. Low 22 tonight, load of ash burnin now.
Been down there all winter on motorcycle...Had some wicked cold nights and was trying to get up to central Alabama but it was sleeting etc... So I never made it there that year...
No only about 550 600 miles. We have a Cabin in Blue Ridge Georgia we usually visit there when it is really hot here. It's cold up there but really steep roads. A few of our friends there have had to park it for awhile, impossible to drive. We run for flat land in Florida in the winter time. We like the cold but too scared of the slick mountain roads. Pretty steep roof for that ol boy up there with no toe boards. Gotta be hard roofing in that cold weather. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
These guys are monkeys man, but they did have toe boards and foam pads for the tare off. Pic was the shingle delivery guy, roof boards do offer some traction. I know it is steep I have the roof rash scars to prove it, but I didn't fall off
Currently no fire... 37F outside and 70F inside. My wife had a little one going during the day, but nothing series. The One Who Consumes is starting to get nervous... it's calling me... soon, I may need to go to it, as it's hold on me is strong. Forecast for 26F overnight. Collecting wood and pallets tomorrow! Yay! :stacke:
Currently 30°F headed down to 24°F. Just reloaded the oakleaf here at 930- 15 hours later, with coals leftover. This stove doing much better than the jotul i had before.
32 deg. here, a heat wave!Burning standing dead Elm from a year ago, just 2 or 3 pieces at time or else we would be roasted out of the house.
30° and a foot or better of coals in the box, so I added a few sticks to keep it busy until daylight. I got called away yesterday so it didn't get cleaned out.
It was 31 this morning so we loaded up with more cherry, it's 70 up here and 73 in the basement before I started the fire.
About 28 this am, and a good load of coals. Did the coal push and pull, then loaded a single e/w split to burn 'em down some. Was 72 IAT and it's 73 now. Going up to 38 today with a little "maybe" sun. Still working through some Red Maple. I've only used Oak mixed sparingly so far, since it's not been super cold for the most part.
Mild today with rain and 40 guessed at, gonna' feed the wood whore a pile of ash, cherry and walnut,,and whatever else I grab from the shed.
It's like -1c out today and house is 19c boxing day is suppose to be 10c (55f) crazy warm! Won't be burning any wood Monday.
