Raining this morning but should clear off. Off to Mom's for campinspecter to move wood undercover for 2018. I get to work on her computer and do a few things on her honey-do-list. Should be a nice visit. nice thing about the ferry ride is I can work on my knitting.

I started the sleds and then took them for a couple of loops around the trails by the house, when I had my sled out I was ready to head down the road with it and then I saw the road plow coming.......after they went by it was down to all road and not much snow.

After I put the covers on the sleds it was time to clear two driveways with the tractor, when I was getting done our neighbors what comes back..........the town plow which through a bunch of snow at the end of his driveway so I cleaned that out again and then did ours.

I think that with the snow we received overnight and today, we received close to 3 inches.

I think you will really like the weed wacker. I have two of them. I like the lighter one of the two. Battery last long enough to tire me out. I ride along in my mobility cart. and stop and trim, then move and repeat. No cords, no hard starting heavy gas machine.

I had a gas weed wacker that someone had given me when I moved here (3 years ago), but I couldn't get it started last summer. I rarely use them - really hate even the concept of them, but needed something to go along the chain link fence in the back yard - I actually did that portion with hand loppers once, but blisters after the first 50 ft (of 100) decided me on doing something else. gave away the gas powered wacker - and the guy didn't have any issues getting it started, so it was totally me being a girl .

I got to use the Ryobi +1 weed wacker once this summer (it was so dry that the grass didn't grow - I mowed like 4 times). I got the one that can also be run on extension cord (just in case). I liked the wacker so much that I ordered the chain saw and used it to take down something like 21 saplings (after of course, I couldn't get the gas powered one started).

The battery powered stuff will probably never really replace gas powered, but for those of us that don't need something for heavy duty use, they are great!

Also good for us who have arthritis, and mobility issues. Now getting my other power tools that way. Remember, we don't need the big heavy duty stuff. We aren't building a house.

We bought a Worx 32v battery powered grass trimmer this summer. I expected it to be junk. It only swings one line and it's half the diameter of any trimmer I've ever used. It does an incredible job and had no prob wackin' around our place on one charge. Just can't blast into hay with it... but... let it do it's thing slower... and it'll whack hay too... o_O

My feet are up on a split of wood next to the boiler. Warming them up after a day of work on the barn. Weather cooperated, mostly. We got an inch or two of snow while we worked in the morning. But were able to get a good amount of batten boards up on each gable end.

    And it is happnin!

A local tree company has been selling off their gas saws and going to all electric saws.
Like electric only cars, the electric saws really can do the job for most users.
