If I had a bulbar on my truck it would have been put to good use in the traffic up at the Exchange/shopping center - zoo is an understatement.
Got myself a new cordless Milwaukee combo - GF's gift to me and it will make assembling all the furniture more better instead of dragging out my corded drill:dex:

Just a basic 12 hour day today with everything hitting the fan! I am getting to old for this, stuff. Think I will demand to the boss that I want shorter hours and more pay! I probably will get turned down on both. Oh, the joys of being self employed! :rofl:

My parents bought me a really nice Ryobi one+ kit that I have to wait for Christmas to open. I've got projects lined up waiting. My old craftsman drill drivers batteries went with a long time ago and I limped along with 1 half-a$$ed charging battery for like 2 years. That will end really soon.

I had a long day at work, capped off with the company Christmas party with bourbon tasting. Yeah, so that happened. The managers gave me two separate shout outs for hard work and dedication on a couple different projects. So, that's good to get their respect after being there a year and a half.

Got my dad the ruobi one plus chainsaw, he likes it well enough I got him a bigger battery for it for his birthday. I use the craftsman c3 series myself.

I contemplated the Ryobi one set with the eternal battery change out deal but no brushless technology. I was really eyeing the Rigid combo because you could get the 1/2 impact free but they didn't have it in stock so it was Milwaukee, Makita, Dewalt to get the extra free tool/battery.
I won't get any use out of a cordless circular saw, sawzall or compound miter saw - I have those in corded styles for a reason;)
Not partial to any color as I have many of them in my arsenal but Milwaukee cordless stuff at work has been pretty bullet proof

Grabbed the Milwaukee 18v li-ion driver and drill set, 2 batts and charger earlier this year for about $160.

probably the brushes/pigtails - that's why they are designing brushless cordless tools.
Can't say I know the entire design logistics but I'm assuming onboard inverter with AC motors

the brushed version I'd assume for that price - not that we homeowners need the newer technology
ETA - I didn't really care about the price because the GF bought it for me - make up for the rodgering I got on the furniture - consider it lubrication I guess:rofl:

Well I got my Christmas present early.. Sunday I put 2100 pounds of sand on drive after it finished raining.... I do this by taking 12- 5 gallon buckets in my hatch back drive 2 miles to town garage fill them... pull them out of hatch back and throw sand with 3 cup scoop.. repeat until drive is covered and leave 22 full buckets in garage so if ice storm hits,, we can get out... takes a good 2 hours.. I figure a 5 gallon bucket of road sand weight 50 lbs I lift them so that's conservative. .. I have asked a few contractors for a price all said at least 200 dollars.... so I been doing it by hand... for 5 years now... sand is free at town garage..... I have done a few favors for the neighbors and a new one half mile down street... sees me doing this... he stops I notice he got a 1 ton with plow... and Sander on back... I ask how much... I hate sanding drive cause it's always icy when it needs to be done...

he says 40 dollars... I hand it to him....:D...

it's done now.. for next time ....i come back tonight from getting my girl from Christmas party.. he's sanding.. I saw him go down so I waited... he sanded down and back twice so a mile for 40 $.... I went and got him a case of his favorite beer I did....handed him an extra 40... he says he likes customers that pay in advance!

I feel like I won thee lottery! did I mention I hate sanding!

Everyone was happy, because now we can get a Milwaukee one that matches the rest of the stuff. We are phasing out all the Dewault stuff.

Very nice. Lots of sweat equity there. I thought you were not going to the "one" who had to muck out the stalls. Good luck with the horses. Anything else going be living in that new barn?

A lot of the barns around here have bat houses in the eves. Old timers figured bats was gonna be bats and live in a barn....The farmer might as well pick the spot where they hang for the day.

I'm with you on that one. Hire it doen! Not worth the aggrivation trying to haul all the sand and then the spreading. Most towns around here will let you have two, five gallons buckets at any one time. My town is very stingy. They are going to let us have two bukets on Christmas Eve and New Year's eve morning. They used to let us have it anytime, but some took huge advantage of it.

I bought an electric blanket for my wife to use when she is sitting in her chair. Maybe she won't need to have it be 85 in here. It is one of her Christmas presents.
