    Thanks for the offer but they would be too big. In the mornings, my foot looks normal so I think I just have to wait it out. I can be a bit impatient at times. lol

    Started a new pair of socks last night. Don't think these will be finished by Christmas though. Sounds windy and wet outside. Temps are mild. I am hoping for a dusting of snow for Christmas but it sounds like it will come the week after. Bookkeeping today. Don't really want to know how much we spent this last couple of weeks. Hasn't been for gifts but to update the house. campinspecter is finishing off a sliding door project so after Christmas, we will be priming and painting. I actually like painting so I am looking forward to it.

    Was out building a bird house with my son and nephew this afternoon...then the switch on muh table saw gave out and she won't start. The boys was pretty bummed out. One more thing for me to fix.

    Pretty sure we are going with a dark stain/sealer. So like a darker, almost brown.

    The other option would be sealing with a clear coat to keep this same look.

    I've been using a dark brown stain (Woodsman Brand from Agway) and I really like it.

    You are a smart... so much easier to stain it and let it fade aND re stain.. then paint .. then scrape and burn and wire brush and re- paint... I will never paint wood again!

    Braved the crowds today and went Christmas shopping, :rofl: :lol: there were no crowds. We were the only ones in boot barn, and got the front parking spot at kmart which almost empty too. The supermarket and I am guessing wally world were zoos, but we did not need to go there thankfully.:thumbs:
