There was a good bit of time put into it. I was working 7 days a week and would help some in the mornings and we were cutting wood as well through all of it when weather was fit. Lots of things pull at you. I was working on the red thing to the left as well!

I'm just west of Dayton, Ohio

What a simply amazing post, so historical. This is the stuff I love, and the cabin looks like it has been there all along. It was meant to live on again in that spot. Your dad was a visionary.:salute::salute::salute:

What an amazing project! This is something I'd love to do myself someday. I love this kind of stuff, as I'm sure you know.

That cabin looks as if its been there all along. Heck, I'd move into it and live there!!!

Thanks for sharing the story and pictures with us, I really enjoyed it!!

Dad and I started the clearing in late 1995 and got done with that in 1998. Cabin was started in 1998 and finished in 2000.
